3 WAYS TO WEAR: SPRING STRIPES
There’s no shying away from the stripes trend this season, so here’s a masterclass in how to style them…
THE STRIPE SET
Bored of your winter wardrobe? Us too, but the good news is you don’t need to wait until spring to work one of the new season’s biggest trends. After storming countless catwalks at the spring/summer 2017 shows, bold stripes have become a celeb favourite, and will give a punchy lift to your look while it’s still too cold to really embrace the new season. As we’re all about ‘buy now, wear now’, naturally our new collection is packed with striped pieces to take on the trend. The only decision is whether to channel Sienna Miller in a chic dress, Katie Piper in a statement knit, or Nicola Roberts in a cool skirt…
1. THE CHIC STRIPED DRESS
Forget what you think you know about horizontal stripes being unflattering. Cleverly placed stripes on a black background make the trend much more wearable. We’ve designed our dress in a stretchy ribbed knit, making it as comfortable as it is chic. Silver ankle boots add a fashion edge, but you could dress it down with trainers and a leather jacket or add glamour like Sienna with trend-ticking platforms. Finish the look with your favourite leather biker jacket.
2. THE STATEMENT STRIPED KNIT
Thanks to the good old British weather, we’re never really not in jumper season. When you’ve been living in knitwear for what feels like forever, a striped jumper is the perfect piece to freshen up your look. With a multi-colour striped trim to the hem and cuffs, our ribbed fine knit is perfect if you’re not into all-out print. Watch it transform your jeans – especially black ones – or pair it with leather leggings or a denim skirt. Just remember to leave it untucked to show off those stripes.
3. THE SPORTS-LUXE STRIPED SKIRT
Vertical stripes work wonders at elongating your body, making our midi skirt a serious figure-flatterer. The luxe stretchy knitted fabric means it can be dressed up or down – it’ll look as cool with trainers as it does with ankle boots and block heeled sandals. To up the sporty vibe, wear it with the co-ordinating bomber jacket, or for a chicer spin, the matching striped cuff jumper. Work, weekends, you’ll wear it everywhere.
