7 LONDON FASHION WEEK TRENDS TO WEAR NOW
As London Fashion Week draws to a close, we show you how to shop the trends a whole six months early…
1. Hi-Shine Red Shirt
Whether you want to add a little sass to your work wardrobe or need a knockout night out top, our silky red shirt is the answer. A little bit smart, a little bit sexy, super-soft and totally chic; if you needed any more ammo to snap it up, we spotted red shirts on Margaret Howell’s spring/summer2017 catwalk, meaning you’ll be working a key new season trend way before everyone else.
2. Leather Pencil Skirt
We’ve long looked to Alexa Chung for outfit inspiration, and her London Fashion Week wardrobe was as photo-worthy as ever. She took to the FROW’s in a black leather pencil skirt, and our zip detail version is perfect for nailing the Chung look. Follow her lead with a smart/casual mix of slouchy top and sexy heels, or embrace autumn with a chunky knit and ankle boot combo.
3. Khaki: The ‘It’ Colour
We know that khaki is a suits-all, wear year-round colour, which is why we included this statement knit in our debut collection. The shade was a favourite on the spring/summer 2017 catwalks too, with Mulberry’s models sporting the military inspired hue. Handily, ours is lightweight enough to wear right through to next season.
1. The Cult FROW Jacket
A Sosandar signature, leather biker jackets may not be a new trend, but the amount of fashion week show-goers we spotted wearing them is testament to their style staying power. Trust us; invest now and you’ll be wearing for years to come. In fact, like a fine wine, leather just gets better with age, especially the really soft stuff, like ours.
5. Chic Sweater Dress
It may be a key autumn/winter piece, but the temperamental British weather means you’ll get maximum mileage out of a chic jumper dress. The flattering patchwork panels on ours add interest to the simple style. Design duo Teatum Jones styled theirs with a leather biker jacket and ankle boots for spring/summer 2017, and we’ve got everything you need to nail the look now.
6. Victoriana Lace Top
The ultimate come-around-again trend, Victoriana is big news for autumn/winter 2016, and the easiest way to work it is with a lacy top. Scalloped edges and a hook-and-eye fastening up the luxe factor of ours, but if your style is more girlie than gothic, create a contrast by wearing with unexpected pops of colour.
7. The New Design Detail
It’s the little details that elevate every Sosandar piece, like the waist-cinching, D-ring band on our wide leg trousers. Invest now and be one step ahead in the style stakes – Jasper Conran featured the same detail on multiple pieces in his spring/summer 2017 collection.
