ROLE OVERVIEW

The primary role of the Ecommerce Executive is to ensure optimal performance of the company’s ecommerce website and the integrations with our 3rd party partners are working smoothly.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the new product creation process working closely with the product teams to ensure product details are provided from the offset
  • Bulk importing product data to support sales and price amendments
  • Running regular product checks to assist the trading team
  • When required, assist in uploading of new products on third party platforms, ensuring deadlines are met by completing uploads and making sure product specs are provided on time
  • Liaising with external copywriter to obtain product descriptions
  • Setting up and maintaining promotional coupon codes with the marketing team
  • Day to day management and monitoring of the website performance and 3rd party integrations
  • Work closely with internal teams to diagnose reported issues quickly to establish the level of the issue, escalate if required, and resolve accordingly
  • Raising tickets with external website developers and monitoring retained hour usage
  • Tracking bugs, fixes, and deployments in conjunction with our website support team
  • Development testing and confirmation that dev work has been completed to allow for minimal downtime
  • Working with the Ecommerce Development Manager to manage and deliver enhancements to own site and 3rd party platforms.
  • Working closely with the Ecommerce Development Manager you will work on the ‘look and feel’ of the website, advising and making recommendations to further the customer workflow
  • Support the Ecommerce Development Manager with ad hoc on-site projects and web developments by putting briefs together and submitting tickets to the web development agency when necessary
  • Deliver best in class customer experience working closely with the customer service team to provide the customer with relevant information, advice, and conversion opportunity
  • Any other customer service or administration tasks as and when required

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Excellent technical skills with a focus on Excel/Google Sheets is essential
  • Hands on experience with web CMS’, able to comfortably navigate the platform and upload products and make site changes. Magento 2 experience is desirable
  • Experience with technical development teams/agencies
  • Have an interest in the technical aspects of an ecommerce environment
  • Analytical and self-motivated, with the resilience to react quickly to a fast-changing environment
  • An excellent attention to detail & quality
  • Be positive, a team player, approachable, energetic and enthusiastic with the drive to ‘go the extra mile’
  • Strong organisation skills: self-directed & capable of working effectively in a fast paced, exciting environment while juggling multiple projects
  • Please be aware that a small amount of out of hours work is required as part of this role during emergencies and promotional periods on an ad-hoc basis.
